Holy shit it still works

So yeah. I forgot I had one of these things. I think by now my mom even stopped checking it. HAHA. I'm a loser. Anyway, its been since April since my last post. School ended and I passed, yeah. Giggity Giggity.

Anyway, I've been pretty busy this summer going to Vegas twice and now working full time as a THQ QA tester. No I cant tell you what I'm working on...i'm under a non-disclosure agreement. Testing is fun tho. Its not the most glamorous job ever, but its not the most difficult.

I actually went through my myspace and checked out some old friends/family and sent out some messages. So if you're reading you might want to check your myspace messages.

Holy Crap, I forgot about this thing...

So what its been like 3 months right? So we can tell i'm a huge blogger. Not like some friends who blogg daily or every other day. So here's whats going down in Shaun-town.

Got a new laptop, sony vaio, thx jeff. It rocks, dual core 2, 2 gigs of ram, 160 gig hd, vista. Ya know the freaking works.

School is piddling along pretty smoothly, i really should start punching it in over drive for finance. I swear i'll take an entire day and lock myself in a room and do like 5-10 chapters.

So like many others I'm being entertained by Guitar Hero 2 for xbox 360. I just now finished 5 starring all of easy mode. Unlocked a USA guitar and got some achievement points. I've waited so long for this damn game. I almost broke down and bought the ps2 version, however when i heard the 360 would have downloadable content...thats what made me wait. GH2 has some great tracks, and the 360 version even has Pearl Jam on it. But can you imagine the downloads that COULD be possible. Think about it, how bad ass would it be for a Tenacious D download pack!?!?! OMG I think i'd spludge right there. Or how about a metal band pack. The possibilities are endless. I really could care less about how much i pay for them, i just want this game to never end. Fuck new versions, just release new songs. And try to actually get the artist versions, if you havent heard Heart Shaped Box consider yourself lucky. The Cobain-imitation is terrible. But its part of the game so who gives shit.

Ok so I'm going to check out the songs for medium, i'm kinda worried about that blue key, i'm trying not to think about the orange one. I guess my pinky is gonna need to get a little stronger.

This one is going out to pillowpants...

So, nothing new going on around the house. I start back at school monday, however its Cal State Northridge instead of Moorpark College. Yep I finally go to what I like to call "Big People" school. I no longer go to school with what i consider "Kids" WOOT!

Here is a pic of the new monitor running World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

Heres a few pics of the midnight launch at Gamestop. Yes only 3 collectors editions came in and I reserved one. Yeah, its going on ebay. I did manage to pick up a 2nd collectors edition at Best Buy the next morning, I pulled an all-nighter to pull that one off.

Kitty troubles....

After reading The King's story of his recent troubles with his feline companions I am compelled to share our current "kitty" issues. As many of you know we recently (about a year ago) moved back in with my in-laws. I am going back to school full time and we just couldnt afford our Trump-style Apartment in the hills of Thousand Oaks. With this our 2 cats, wampa and pacha, moved as well. At first things were quite happy and problem free. Within the first 2 months we discovered the pre-existing cat (to protect his identity we shall call him BIZ) decided he did not like 2 new cats joining his family. He proceeded to start spraying everywhere in the house. Now we all know cat piss smells right? However spray smells 10x worse. He sprayed EVERYTHING. The big screen tv, blankets, probably tipper (the golden retriever), and even my green halo edition xbox. So now, "Bizz" is an outdoor cat. Not that he wasnt an outdoor cat before, but now he is no longer allowed inside without proper supervision. So things went smoothly for a while then enters Ms. Murphy. My beautiful little beagle pup. Things still are going pretty smooth, occasional accidents by Wampa. We always just figured he's a little slow, you just look at him and you can tell by his looks, he's not all there. Well the last 2 months, Wampa has started peeing everywhere outside his litter box. Literally less than a foot away from his cat box, theres a pee stain. We clean it with Fabreeze and Natures Miracle, and still, pisses outside the box again. Now, he is pooping in the box...no issues there. He just enjoys pissing on the carpet, so we move the box around to the location he's peeing thinking "hey he's just lost" nope. He proceeds to pee somewhere else. I'm about to buy a catapult and launch him into the next county. So we consult with a friend of the family whos very familiar with issue cats. Her cat lived to be 16 and constantly had health/psych issues. She's gone as far as taking her 2 cats to a cat communicator, aka the cat whisperer. So with her advice we tried a few things, laid aluminium foil down where he was peeing and took wampa to the vet. Sometimes cats will pee in strange places to let their owners know there is something wrong with them medically. Since they cant quite vocalize they're sick. So we take Mr Wampa Pants to our Vet. He does all sorts of tests, blood & urine, ultrasound and his conclusion was: "Cats are psychotic!" Yes those were his exact words. He explains that there is really no reason why cats do what they do other than they are pyschotic. So, $375 later we still know nothing about whats going on. He prescribes some kitty chill pills, a $50 glade plug-in type device to discourage spraying, and advice to add a liter box and we are no better than where we were when we took him in. The good news is currently the kitty chill pills and extra litter box seem to be working, no accidents going on about a week and half. FUCKING CATS! These will probably be the last 2 we have. I have discovered I am quite a dog person. Dogs are loyal and obedient. You can yell at a dog and see its response, its tail will go between its legs and it will look sad. I yell at wampa for peeing on the carpet and he just sits there looking back with that "yeah, well fuck off" look on his face, or he'll jump on your face and try to crawl in your mouth, and you can kick him off the bed and he'll jump back up as if nothing happened. Stupid cats. And pacha...ugh...we spent $400 on him checking his stomach just to find out he's nervous. He pukes when they run out of food or water!!! "ahhh! I'm a scared black cat, we're out of food, AHHHH!!!! how will I ever eat again!" is what he must think. Oh well, I must return to work!

22 Inches of love

Alot of you know that I already had a relatively large monitor. A 21 inch NEC was what my computer goodness was displayed on. It was HUGE, fucking huge to be exact, 75 lbs huge. I had been eyeing a nice sleek, slim, 22 inch widescreen Samsung every time I visited the local best buy. It was always just a pipe dream, until now. So Saturday me and the wife go cruisin' out on the town for some fine eats. We finish our fine dining experience at TGI-Friday and head out for some shopping. We swing by GameStop to pick up a Retro Controller for the Wii and then to Best Buy with the intention of looking at DVD Wall Racks. However first I must go drool at the monitor. Recently I have put World of Warcraft on the back burner and changed the way I play. Before it was the pursuit of items and raiding and the whole shabang. Well once I got back from Japan I just didnt really care all that much and pretty much stopped playing. So my account sat idle for about 3 months. A full tier 1 mage, 2300+ gold, tons of goodies. I posted it on ebay a few times, a few nibblers no bites. Well on the 16th the expansion is released and I decided to pick it up, after all I did have the collectors edition reserved. Well I grabbed my collectors edition from GameStop and then picked up another one at best buy. Thats another story all together. Anyway, while i was trying to ebay my account one of the nibblers recommended i try to sell my gold. Thinking it was not a terrible idea I checked one of the gold buying websites. $150 for 1000 gold, not too shabby. I had 2300 gold. Thats like $300 towards my sexy monitor. So I sell about 1400 gold in one day and I have over $200. Well to make a long story short (Too late) with that $200 and possibly $150 more coming in my lovely wife decides to buy me the monitor. =D I smiled alot that night. giddy as a girl....pics to come.
