Almost done....

School is almost over and finals is nearly upon us. Tonight is my Anthropology Lab final. Its on bones....yay! Good thing I dont watch the show Bones, it might actually not help me! I dunno what that means. Anyway on to the good stuff.

E3
I chose not to go this year, it might not have been had a choice had i bothered to apply. Apparently this year anyone under the position of buyer does not get to go. I understand this policy, yet do not agree fully. I think they should have just limited it to industry individuals who actually make a difference in sales. The average blue shirt at best buy does not overall influense much when it comes to video game sales, however the store managers from say a Gamestop or EBGames, or mom and pop shop in a dirty strip mall does.

Last year the aisles were filled with fanboys who only got in because 7-Eleven sells ps2 games now, or because their blockbuster video suddenly sells old psx games. You see them with their backpacks full of whatever swag companies were willing to hand out. I actually saw two kids arguing over an inflatable balloon that had some shitty 3rd party PC developer name on it. Lets not even mention the enormous lines now to watch the 3 minute clip of the game that will change many times before it launches. Did we all forget the half life 2 and square-enix booths. I remember my first year I actually had fun at E3. Got their early, got my pass walked in. Got to play a bunch of good stuff, went home with some neat swag, had fun. However, last year...I lasted about 3 hours. Got there relatively early (parking in NoHo sucks) had to go to 3 places trying to get a replacment badge since mine was lost in the mail. The lines to see ANYTHING were minimum 1-2 hours. I wasnt going to sit in line to see a zelda preview. Maybe if they were handing out free copies of it!! Shuffling around the booths I wasnt impressed with much out last year. The HALO 2 Multiplayer map pack was cool, PSP was in its infancy, and sony was still pushing their crappy PS2.

360 was still a glimmering GEM that had yet to be released. The walls were filled with faceplates that we have still yet to see launch. This year, my only wish was to see the new George Foreman grill...ie...the PS3. That thing is huge. It looks like the ps2 went to reverse fat camp for the summer. And the ps3 controller....wow...i mean wow....a ps2 controller sans the rumble. ooooo! I'm semi interested in Wii. As I am and will always be a friend of Mario. I may not dig his handheld systems, but Nintendo has never let me down, except with N64's game selection. I love my Cube, it just doesnt get as much play as it should. (INTERUPTION)
